GOC's Annual Outdoor Gathering 2025 will be held from Friday 25th to Monday 28th July at Lancaster University.
People who are attending AOG events only, such as the walks or evening entertainment, but not booking accommodation or meals on campus, should book a 'General Ticket' via the yellow 'Book Now' button above, to ensure they receive messages about the AOG.
Accommodation
The deadline for booking accommodation and meals has now passed and all rooms are sold out. If you want to be added to the waiting list, please send a message via 'Contact Event Organiser' below.
Accommodation on campus will consist of a mixture of single, twin and double rooms, all of which have ensuite facilities.
- Guest wifi is available throughout the campus.
- Towels are provided in all rooms, together with either a fixed shower gel dispenser of small bar of soap.
- All rooms will have access to tea and coffee making facilities.
In recognition of the key role of group co-ordinators, and people who regularly lead walks and other activities, we are offering them a discount on the overall cost of attending this year's AOG.
See Members Only section below for information about booking accommodation and about parking and cycle storage.
Entertainment
Evening entertainment will take place at Barkers House Farm, where evening meals will also be served.
Our main entertainment will be disco on the Saturday evening, for which there will be no specific charge, the cost being absorbed as part of our overall expenditure for staging the AOG.
There will also be a quiz on the Sunday evening.
Outdoor activities
Bookings for outdoor activities are now open.
Lancaster has the Irish sea coast to the west, and the Forest of Bowland to its east and south east. Also to the east are the Yorkshire Dales, which are less than an hour's drive away.
We are offering a choice of walks for everyone on both the Saturday and Sunday that range from easy to challenging, with a mountain walk on both the Saturday and Sunday, plus there is a women’s-only walk on the Saturday; there are cycle rides on both the Saturday and the Sunday. Neil Barry has organised garden visits for the Friday afternoon, the Saturday and Monday mornings. In addition, the Sunday coach trip will visit Levens Hall and its gardens. See links below.
Numbers on outdoor events will be limited and you will need to book separately for each.
