The West Wales group is a friendly group with a good balance of both women and men that regularly join us.
Walk in a relaxed atmosphere, meeting new friends whilst enjoying the natural beauty of our wonderful countryside and get healthy exercise – just a few of the benefits of walking with us. Have a look at the photos below to see what a happy bunch we are!
We have a full annual programme - generally walking on the first weekend of each month on a Sunday, though a few throughout the year will be on a Saturday, particularly suitable for people wishing to travel by public transport. Each walk is usually around 6-8 miles in length, with the level of difficultly for each one clearly described on our event page. We are fortunate to have some of the UK’s best scenery virtually on our doorstep and our walks cover a huge area including Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire, Brecon Beacons and The Gower. Coastal paths, hill walks, historic landmarks and strolls along verdant valleys and warm companionship are all features of our events.
As well as the monthly walks, we usually have two weekends away walking, socialising and exploring a new area. In the summer there are also shorter evening walks and cycle rides plus other social events.
New people are always made welcome – free four month trial membership with the option to cancel before your trial ends, so you can come on a few walks and decide if it is for you. We recognise it can be daunting to turn up on your fist walk without knowing anyone so if you would like to discuss ways we can make that easier for you, please get in touch.
The group's co-ordinator is Allyson Evans (known as Al).
