AOG 2021 at the Fire Service College, Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire.

GOC's 2021 Annual Outdoor Gathering will be held from Friday 30th July to Monday 2nd August, at the Fire Service College, Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire.

The campus is one mile from the centre of the picturesque market town of Moreton-in-Marsh, within the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This is a great location for those who want a taste of what the North Cotswolds and the South Midlands have to offer.

The area is renowned for its rolling hills (the 'wolds'), honey coloured stone villages, and magnificent stately homes and gardens.  The Cotswolds is richly rural, with thousands of miles of footpaths and bridleways, ancient woodlands and wildflower meadows, perfect for exploration by walkers and cyclists alike.

Facilities on campus are excellent with all accommodation, restaurant, bars and meeting rooms, within close proximity.

There is ample availability of Single, Double and Twin rooms.  All accommodation is en-suite, complete with towels and toiletries.  Also included are a hospitality tray, TV and Wi-Fi.  None of the rooms has access to their own kitchen this year, so if anyone has specific needs, (e.g. for storage of medicines in a fridge), then please indicate this in the comments field when you make your booking.

Those who wish, may extend their stay by making their own bookings for nights before and after the AOG, directly with the Fire Service College.

Bookings for accommodation (on a Bed & Breakfast basis), evening meals and the Saturday Disco will open on 1st February and close on 30th June.  The restaurant will, as a matter of course, cater for all dietary requirements, however if you have any specific concerns, please note this in the "Additional Information" field when making your booking.

Before making your booking please read: Booking Instructions and Conditions .

Outdoor activities

Plans for walks and cycle rides are well underway.  There will be a choice of walks across the North Cotswolds on both Saturday and Sunday, to suit all abilities and interests.  There will also be a women-only walk on the Saturday, cycle rides on the Saturday and the Sunday, and a walk on the Monday morning.

On the Sunday an outing to Batsford Arboretum has been arranged, led by local character, Alan Lamb.  There will also be an opportunity on both days for non-walkers to visit local gardens of interest, including National Trust properties.

The weekend will be a great opportunity to become familiar with the delights of the North Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Full details of all outdoor activities have now been published and can now be found online.  To see an overview of all of the Events on offer, click here: AOG List of Events

Bookings for all events will open on 1st June.  You will need to book separately for each walk, cycle ride or event. Numbers will be limited and most of the places will be made available online, on a first-come-first-served basis. Only a small number of places will be available to book offline when you arrive at Moreton-in-Marsh, so you are recommended to book early online to secure your place.

To ensure that the booking process for walks runs as smoothly as possible, particularly if you are booking for more than one person, the following guidance notes may be helpful. AOG Walk Booking Guidance Notes
