A walk through countryside and along country lanes visiting sacred sites St. Winfred's Shrine https://www.stwinefridesshrine.org/ , Basingwerk AbbeyBasingwerk Abbey | Cadw , and St. Pio's Monastry.  A holy pause will be granted for the brave who wish to take a dip in the refreshingly cool sacred well at St. Winifrides or for the demure to walk around the chapel buildings. £3 entry, £2 concessions. Please dress respectfully if dipping (bring a spare shirt, shorts and a towel). On a clear day, there are superb views across the estuary and towards the Clwydians and Snowdonia beyond. At St. Pios there is option to walk the 'Stations of the Cross'  through a beautiful hillside woodland garden. Optional picnic, pub Sunday lunch or evening meal (contact the organiser to pre-book).
