NT Hidcote AOG Garden visit
##Bookings for all outdoor events will open on Monday 25th May 2026##
A jewel of historic gardens that include intimate garden rooms and a famous red border, created by batchelor Lawrence Johnston from 1907 onwards. Elements of the Arts & Craft movement abound. Covering an area of 10.5 acres, the garden takes visitors on a journey through intimate formal areas revealing a different atmosphere or new vista at every turn. Smaller, more formal garden ‘rooms’ near the house, give way to more natural areas that blend in with the surrounding countryside further away. You can see a video of the gardens here. For more info, see here
Option of meeting for lunch at the onsite café before exploring the gardens.
Depending on volunteer availability on the day, they have garden talks at 11.30 and/or 12.30 in the Thatched Barn. There is also a tour at 2.00pm (maximum 16 people), again depending on volunteer availability.
Dogs on a short, fixed lead are welcome in most areas - see here for more info.
Free entry for National Trust members - see website above for charges.
Full details are available to members only
