Following the Letchworth Garden City guided tour and its optional pub stop, the time will be quite close to 19:00, which means munchies, especially for those with longer journeys home.

In spite of being a bit short notice (!), we’re going to try to find a restaurant with sufficient space for us, with an attempted booking on Thu 24 Apr 2025.

There is a choice of venue:

• The Grapevine, “Euro”-Turkish cuisine (no menu online);
• Turquoise, “Asian”-Turkish cuisine (no menu online);
• Alloro Ristorante, Italian (a fairly quiet venue, a large group booking is likely to succeed);
• Cultivo Lounge, TexMex-Med-Asian-fusion type-of-stuff (a large venue, a large group booking is likely to succeed, unless the venue has some major event going on);
• L’Artista, Italian (always very busy, a large group >6 heads might struggle to book at all);
• Dragon King, Chinese buffet (steady trade, buffet food regularly refreshed, à la carte menu also available). This is also the fail-safe option, because it might not need booking.

To book your place at any of the above venues, please mark your proposed attendance to this event. The numbers booked on this event shall be a primary booking at one of the venues listed above.

If you have a strong preference for any single venue, please comment as such on this forum’s public comments (at the bottom of the page), but bear in mind we might end up at any of the above, depending on the venue’s capacity.

Please budget between £20ph to £35ph for food, with drinks & tips as additional charges.

Start point is easily accessible by public transport followed by a short walk.

This event shall depend on whether the guided tour event takes place, which, in turn, depends on the weather. If the weather during the day is forecast to be either continuously raining during the day, or with a maximum temperature lower than 10°C, then this event shall be postponed to another day. The guided tour will proceed if there are only a few, light, sporadic showers forecasted.
