A beautiful walk in the Eden Valley, east of Carlisle and just south east of Brampton, and on the edge of the North Pennines. We will be taking in some woods and the River Gelt with spectacular rock formations, as well as Talkin Tarn and some cross country walking.  The river and many associated bankside habitats, are part of the River Eden and Tributaries Site of Special Scientific Interest.  The timing of the walk should give us lots of of autumn colours to see.  There are many historic feature on route.
