After a short length of the canal towpath we head across the golf course to Appleton reservoir and then through fields to Daresbury, home of the All Saints Lewis Carroll centre and the birthplace of Charles Dodgson. Views across Warrington to the turbines north of Manchester are possible. After crossing a very busy road we head down Keckwith hill to join the Bridgwater Canal towpath back to Walton via Sci-Tech Daresbury and the village of Moore.
