Troserch woods, Llangennech near Llanelli -- shorter midweek walk
This walk is approx. 6.5 miles.
We start in Troserch woods, a beautiful woodland that has a lot of industry connected to it's past.
Small shafts and tips of early coal mines can still be found dotted around this landscape.
The coal industry once thrived here, part of the old Goitre-wen colliery.
Also there ae remains of Troserch corn mill.
We emerge from the woods and onto a lane and through fields giving us great views down to the Loughor Estuary.
Meandering back along a beautifully hidden path beside the main road, we do a loop down to Llangennech village and back to the start.
