Tatton Hall Gardens – Saturday 22nd June 2024

Event Details

Join us for a visit to Tatton Hall Gardens.

Tatton Hall was the family seat of the Egerton family and it came into the hands of the National Trust in 1958. It is unusual in that it is owned by the National Trust but It is financed and ran by Cheshire East council.

The gardens are 50 acres in size and each successive owner from the Egerton family has played their part in shaping its layout that still survives today.

There is the Japanese garden, the Walled kitchen garden, the Palm house and the Italian garden. If we wanted to we could visit the Japanese garden on a guided tour on Saturday at either 11.30 or 1.30 at a cost of £5 per person, payable on entrance, on the day.

Tatton park is famous for its deer herds, they have both Red deer and Fallow deer, so we might see some of those as we walk in.
