Penlle'r Castell Walk - The Real Game of Thrones
Event Details
Approx 8.5 mile walk , moderately difficult. May be muddy in places and we climb to 371 metres, so you will need walking boots,warm clothing, and maybe a walking pole.
This is a varied walk on St. Illtyd's Way, over open moorland with 360 degree panoramic views over the Loughor estuary, Port Talbot, and the Brecon Beacons, and through wooded areas plus a bit of walking on the road.
We will visit the remains of Penlle'r Castell, which saw battles between the Lords of Gower and the Princes of Dinefwr.
At the end of the walk there are 133 steps and a climb through fields.
Some stiles are not dog friendly.
Please bring a packed lunch.
