Pen-y-ghent - Yorkshire Dales
This is a 10 mile moderate walk over Pen-y-ghent, a classic hill of the area with a millstone cap over limestone. It also forms the watershed between east and west with a tributary of the Wharfe going east and the Ribble going west. The area is covered by underground caves and we can look into the entrance to Hull Pot on the way down before experiencing part of the Ribble Way.
