Two days of walks centred on Craster, a small fishing village on the Northumberland coast. Home to Dunstanburgh Castle which sits dramatically on the cliffs (free entry to both National Trust and English Heritage members). Varied scenery - Embleton Bay with its large sweeping sandy beach and to the South a more rocky coastline.

I will aim to find somewhere suitable to meet for a meal on the Saturday evening.

Fairly easy 8 – 10 mile walks on Saturday and Sunday, with the option to join part of a walk for those who want something even more leisurely. Details of walks to follow.

Book your own accommodation.

For those who want to camp Dunstan Hill Campsite is just a mile from Craster and recommended by a GOC member who stayed there for our coastal walk in 2022. It’s popular so don’t leave it too late to book.

There are a few B&Bs near Craster. Alnwick is about 15 minutes drive, where there are more places to stay including a youth Hostel.

Plenty of self catering cottages around and lots to do in the surrounding area if you want to stay longer.

Use the comments to let people know where you will be staying.
