This Easter Sunday 7 - 8 mile circular walk in Neath will take in historic sites, waterfalls and a mountainside lunchtime stop.

The walk will start at the historic ruins of a medieval monastery (with free entry should you wish to explore further at the beginning

or end of the walk as the walk will not go into the Abbey grounds),

18th century iron works, workers cottages (currently being excavated) & a railway bridge attributed

to the great civil engineer, Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

The walk along the Clydach river, including Ironworks and 2 small waterfalls.

Then a walk uphill through woodland and a stony track, will take us to a lunch stop on Drummau mountain, with views

over Neath & Bryncoch if the weather is kind to us!

Locals erect a Cross on the top of Drumau on Easter weekend - see photo.

The route down will be on good forestry tracks and a bit on the pavement at end of walk.
