Meet Me at the Mount… And Bring a Carrot.
Looking for a gentle adventure, some countryside serenity, and perhaps a horse that accepts bribes? Then join us for this 7-mile summer saunter through the hedgerows, estates, and villages of North Hertfordshire.
Starting in the charming village of Barley, we’ll wander through peaceful footpaths, pass a couple of war memorials, and cross grand old estates like Cokenach and Newsells Park. Expect scenic fields, woodland paths, and a curious horse or two at the beginning (feel free to bring a carrot — they’re total flirts).
This is a walk for chatter, connection, and a bit of fresh air fabulousness — with no stiles, minimal hills, and a picnic lunch stop halfway through. We’ll even end up back near a pub for those wanting a celebratory drink.
Come for the walk, stay for the vibe. Bonus points if you spot a deer, a dog in a jumper, or fall a little bit in love with the countryside.
