Linear Walk: Llanboidy to Whitland
This is a 6 mile moderate walk along a section of the Landsker Borderline Trail, from the village of Llanboidy down to the town of Whitland.
The route take us through the rolling Carmarthenshire countryside in a series of ascents and descents and includes some stiles without dog doors.
At one point the path crosses a field in which there are a few cows which are calving or have just calved.
Extra care needs to be taken here (especially with dogs) as the cows have been rather skittish on 2 occasions when we have been there in the past.
Further on we pass the ruins of Whitland Abbey, a cistercian abbey founded in 1151. From there it is a short walk across fields to the small town of Whitland.
