A 10-mile linear walk along the Harrogate Ringway to Knaresborough with a bus ride to return. We head clockwise through rural and semi-rural landscapes to reach the river Nidd at the old Harrogate to Pateley Bridge railway line viaduct where we follow the trail to arrive in Knaresborough for a brew before catching the bus (2 short Journeys) back to the start. If time allows, we plan to row a boat or two under the railway arch in Knaresborough while sucking on a lolly or two and admire the views. Once completed then those who have completed stage 1 some weeks ago on 16th May will have fully completed the full 20-mile Ringway around Harrogate and Knaresborough and will receive their certificate from Baron Hard on in due course.
