Our Groups are up and running with their activities. While there is generally no fixed maximum number of participants on an event, an event may have a limit in place based on it's risk assessment. All events still require every participant to pre-book via the website.
This is a 6 mile walk approx. starting in Briton Ferry.
The very start of the walk can be really muddy, boots recommended.
Very soon we join a really lovely hidden valley called Eaglesbush, where there was a lot of industry in the past.
Then there is a steady climb, on a loose stony surface that will have running water cascading down, a stick will come in handy here if you use one.
The path at the top of the incline brings us to the top of Cimla.
After Cimla we venture into the beautifully named Preswylfa Dingle before entering into the back of Gnoll Park.
We will enter at the back entrance via a short steep wide path.
We will explore some parts of the park and have our lunch there. Bring a packed lunch, though there is a cafe for drinks etc.
The walk then continues down to the centre of Neath, and we will wander through Victoria Gardens where there is a lovely stone circle, before joining Neath canal and making our way back to the start.
Most of the walk is on wide paths, some tarmac and some other paths which will be muddy.
Terrain / Difficulty
One incline on a stony wet surface and one short steep section on a wide path and there will be some mud in places
