This is an ideal Autumn/Winter walk as some of it is on cycle path and/or quiet country lanes with bits on green paths too

(though a bit brown and muddy in places when I did the recce!!) all accessible from Carmarthen town centre.

It is a shorter walk of approx. 4 miles followed by lunch and everyone is most welcome to come for the walk and/or lunch, whichever suits.

Who knew there were reservoirs close to town?

We will go eastwards from the centre of Carmarthen starting on the cycle track to see the Amphitheatre, then climb up

through houses on a few pavements, and some steps.

A high path gives us great views over all of the Carmarthen area before we descend to the ponds.

From there we go to the main road and pick up another lovely green path walking towards the hospital and the last bit is on cycle path

back to the centre of Carmarthen where there is the option of lunch - see information below.
