All Wales Weekend, Carneddau Mountains, Snowdonia

There are now just two places remaining for the accommodation (though all are welcome to join teh associated walks).
The All Wales Weekend will take place in Bethesda, near Bangor in Gwynedd. The venue, for which we have booked the entire accommodation of 16 places, is on the edge of the Carneddau mountain range. The location is right on the north-western edge of Snowdonia National Park with superb scenery and excellent walk opportunities.
Early booking is recommended it you want to reserve a place. Booking is easy using the booking option on this page of the website. The cost is £32 for the two nights.
Arrive on the Friday evening for an informal meal either at the hostel or a local pub. There will be a longish walk on the Saturday, probably up to Carnedd Llewelyn, the second highest mountain in Wales followed by a proposed communal meal on the Saturday evening (for which all are invited to bring their own meal). A shorter walk will be arranged for the Sunday allowing a finish by mid-afternoon for those who have to travel.
You will need to supply all your own food for breakfast, lunch and evening meal. There is cooking equipment in the hostel. The hostel supplies bedding. The hostel is well fitted out with showers and the like.
Bethesda is accessible by bus from Bangor rail station but there are no services on a Sunday. A taxi costs about £10-15. Bethesda is on the A5 road.
The village has plenty of pubs and a mini-supermarket. The long zip wire in Bethesda is close-by for those attracted to such excitements - a quick journey over the slate quarry costs about £70.
