Woburn - 8.5 mi
We begin our circular walk in Woburn, a pretty village with many Georgian buildings. Founded by monks from the Fountains Abbey in the 12th Century, it was a popular coaching town in the early 19th century. We wind our way out of the village and join part of the GreenSand Ridge walk. We pass through part of Woburn Estate which was designed by Humphry Repton. The house is currently hidden by scaffolding, as renovations continue to the house and gardens. We continue through the pretty villages of Eversholt, Ridgemont and Husborne Crawley before arriving back at Woburn. The walk will end with the visit to a local cafe or pub to replenish lost fluids.
