Each year, the Milton Keynes and Bucks group runs a longer walk, in memory of Brian, who loved a good stretching stroll.

This year, our walk is just under 11 miles. It walks around the perimeter of the Stowe National Trust Gardens, north of Buckingham, with good views into the grounds. It then winds its way through old woodland to the outskirts of the Silverstone racetrack. It's a flat walk along good paths, wide tracks, along a Roman road and back along a woodland ride, with a surprising view of Wolfe’s obelisk. There are views of Stowe, a distant Milton Keynes and some glimpses into Silverstone.

There is no planned event at Silverstone. There are no stiles, just kissing gates. A fit but well controlled dog would be ok.

It can easily be shortened if needed.
