JOGLE Day 25 Falkirk to Linlithgow

This time I was walking on the Union Canal towpath which connects Edinburgh with the Forth and Clyde Canal at the Falkirk Wheel.

The feature picture is of the entrance into the 2,071 feet Falkirk Tunnel insisted upon by the Forbes family of Callendar Castle, so they wouldn't have to see have to see the canal from their estate.

The supplementary picture is one of 2 long boats seen on the Union Canal today.

My walk today ended in Linlithgow. The 2nd pic is of Linlithgow Palace, the birthplace of Mary, Queen of Scots. The 3rd pic is of the labyrithine passages inside the Palace, now a bit of a ruin.
