Our January walk is a gentle stroll through countryside about 2 miles from the city centre.
This takes us over the site of an ancient village - now a protected scheduled ancient monument. We follow the river Ouzel passing the O.U on the far side of the river. Our walktakes us through a nature reserve. We walk around Caldecotte lake, before joining the Grand Union canal for a while. We pass through an orchard before reaching our starting point.
There is a pub - Caldecotte Arms on route should toilet facilities be required.
We may go to Peartree Hotel at end of walk for refreshments.
