Waterfalls & Autumn Colour - Neath Valley
West Wales – going the extra mile (or more) walk
Waterfall country, Neath Valley - Mostly low-level walk taking in several impressive waterfalls (opportunity to go behind one) and lush riverside scenery through deciduous forest, so should also get some autumn colour. Some evidence too of the area's industrial history. Some steep ascents/descents, rough underfoot and slippery in places which makes for slow progress, so robust footwear required.
NB Approx. length of walk is 11.5 miles.
This is the first in a trial of longer walks (10-12 miles) which will be held one Saturday a month over the coming months. Some will start from rail stations. If there is enough interest, they will continue.
Opportunity for refreshments locally at the end of the walk & ice cream part way round.
