Walking with Wilfred round Dunsden
Join us on an easy walk around the village of Dunsden near Reading where a young Wilfred Owen spent 17 months long before WW1. We will follow the route of the Wilfred Owen trail (owenindusden.org.uk) and visit All Saints Church, Dunsden where a stunning new stained glass window has recently been installed. It references Owen's sexuality as well as his strong connection with the local landscape. Afterwards we will repair to the nearby Loddon Brewery tapyard which has a great selection of street food.
Your guide was closely involved in the creation of the window and has a fund of stories about Wilfred and the local area.
