Solent Midweek – Chawton and Jane Austin
Starting in Chawton opposite the house of Jane Austin which is now open to visiters (note visiting is by timed slots and limited numbers) we embark on a gentle flat walk which would have been known to Jane Austin taking in the beatiful Hampshire countryside. We also get to see the famous three thousand old yew tree in the Churchyard of Upper Farringdon opposite Massey's Folly. At the end of the walk there is the opportunity to visit Greyfriars pub with views of Jane Austins House
