A mix of quiet country lanes, moorland tracks and field paths.

From our start point we follow a very minor metalled lane for just over a mile before taking to a rough track at the edge of moors. We cross the Waskerley Way and descend to join Healey Field Lane which we follow for about 100 yards before turning onto field paths and walking above the deep gill of North Horseleyhope Burn. After passing through a farm yard there is more field walking to take us to Nanny Mayer's Incline after which is our lunch break at Waskerley Station.

We then climb a little through fields and cross open moorland to join the edge of a wood. we follow this for a short distance before turning onto a semi rough path and then scrub land before making our way back to the start point.
