Roath Park, Cardiff, Circular Walk
A mostly flat, with a few gentle inclines, 5.5 mile, easy walk. We start from the corner of Roath Recreation Ground and travel through part of Roath Park and onto Cathays Cemetery, which is in two parts. The cemetery contains a number of graves dating from the 19th century and includes a small section of Commonwealth War Graves. We will then drop down to the lakeside and walk around much of the lake and past the lighthouse, built in memory of Scott of the Antarctic, before continuing through Roath Park.
Light refreshments are offered at the end of the walk in the walk leaders' house in Melrose Avenue. Those with special dietary requirements are welcome to bring their own food. This walk is limited to 25 members for catering purposes.
Note: This is a Saturday walk.
