Oxwich and Port Eynon, Gower
This walk is through an attractive area of South Gower with some stunning views, interesting historic buildings and picturesque villages.
Starting in the village of Oxwich, it passes a C16th castle or fortified manor house and then heads out westwards through open fields or narrow green lanes, with occasional views of the sea.
Eventually it leads to the village of Horton and then down a steeply sloping wooded hillside into the village of Port Eynon. From there it heads east around Port Eynon Beach before joining the Wales Coast path towards Oxwich Head.
After a while it forks north up a steeply sloping path to Oxwich Green before finally cutting back down through Oxwich Wood on a long flight of steps down to St Illytd Church and Oxwich Bay.
