Coombe Hill, Chequers and Bacombe
A moderate 8 mile circular walk starting from Coombe Hill, via Ellesborough to Pulpit Hill and Chequers, returning via Bacombe. Stunning countryside with amazing views. We pass a Shakespearean Castle, the largest native Box wood in England and the PM's country retreat. This being the Chilterns there are plenty of ascents and descents, mostly fairly moderate. One very steep descent at the beginning, a trekking pole may be useful if you have one.
Note the date : this walk is on the 3rd Sunday not our usual 4th Sunday
