A walk of 3 halves.

From Lartington we follow field paths to the head of Deepdale Woods.

We then follow sometimes narrow paths through Deepdale woods and Gorge, keep an eye out for the remains of the railway viaduct which once crossed here.

We exit the gorge and woods on the outskirts of Barnard Castle and join the Teesdale Way for a little riverside walking and a short detour to the remains of another viaduct before some more woodland and field walking takes us back to our start point.
