Coronavirus / Covid-19
Following recent changes in government advice regarding Covid-19 to avoid all non-essential travel and maintain social distancing, all walks and other activities are cancelled until the end of April.
We will continue to review the situation with regard to events beyond April. Further information can be found here, and will be udpated in due course.
Please note that the date of this event has been changed by one week, to August 30th to September 1st.
On the edge of the Whinlatter Forest, this well appointed site accepts tents, camper vans and caravans. It has camping pods, a shepherd’s hut and 3 self catering holiday cottages. Dogs are welcome. There is also plenty of B&B in proximity. As this is the Lake District, early accommodation booking is essential to avoid disappointment.
The camp runs from Friday to Monday and walks will be offered on Saturday and Sunday.
There's a nice pub about 15 minutes walk and which we can eat at on some nights, or cook at the campsite and try and eat together there some of the nights.
In addtion to your camping gear, please bring walking boots, waterproof jacket and trousers, warm clothing, hat and gloves. Trekking pole(s) recommended if normally used.
