We set off through woods but it's not long before the deep valleys at Blackchurch Rock and Windbury Head, followed by exposed cliff tops all the way to Hartland Point , a knarly exposed headland which normally blows a hooley. Fine views towards towards Lundy Island, at this, it's nearest point to the mainland.

The land west runs out, so we take a right turn South. A couple of deep valleys before we reach Hartland Quay. A most isolated cluster of buildings that make up a solitary Hotel at the bottom of the cliffs. A most evocative place
