A great way to finish your AOG weekend is this delightful walk where we cover the ancient mere with the stunning backdrop of Kenilworth Castle and the remans of Kenilworth Abbey. The medieval mere once provided the strongest lake fortress in the country enabling the castle to withstand the 1266 siege for 6 months. It also contained Henry V hunting lodge.  It was drained by the parliamentarians and is now flat farmland.   The walk will afford exquisite views of Kenilworth Castle and the surrounding countryside.
