****** Brunch prior to the walk ******

10:30 am - Brunch will be in a family owned Cafe - the Host is happy for individuals to arrive from 10:00 am onwards and have several walking groups visit them at weekend.

I will be located in Cafe from approx. 10:00 am to greet all attending.

11:30 to 11:45 am - Walk with commence (for those not joining for brunch) from Cafe.

This is 6.25 mile circular walk from Harpenden Southdown starts with hearty breakfast/brunch (this is an option before walk - pricing from £6 (Vegetarian and Gluten Free options available) Will post menu nearer the time.

No Lunch stop. Only beverage/snack stops on route.

The walk will be via Harpenden Common to Rothamsted Park which is famous for the agricultural experiments at the world famous Research Centre since 1843. We will walk around the Manor house and gardens before joining the Nickey Line.

The Nickey line footpath and cycle way is a former Victorian railway line that linked Harpenden to Hemel Hempstead which opened in 1877 and closed in 1959.

On return to Harpenden we will walk along High Street with an opportunity for Pub/Coffee and see the festive decorations/lights.

Upon completion of walk - an independent pub is available for a beverage.
