Join us on a charity open day for the National Garden Scheme (NGS) at this gay owned garden about six miles from Brecon.  The gardens around Lower Wernfigin Barns have been created over the past ten years by the owners from a bramble and nettle infested plot surrounding a ruined barn which has become their home. Now there is a terraced south facing garden with dense planting of herbaceous perennials and shrub and rear garden planted with hydrangeas, azaleas and rhododendrons. And that's not all! I am reliably informed that they do very good cream teas! For more details, click here. Admission £6.

Before  the garden visit, some of us will visit Brecon Cathedral,  which started life in 1093 and is the seat for the Diocese of Swansea and Brecon. It is about six miles away from the Garden. , We may have an early lunch in the Cathedral cafe before looking around the building and then heading to the Garden. However but there is no obligation to joins us if it is not your thing and just want to visit the Garden.
