Gardens – Autumn Colour at Royal Botanic Gardens Kew – tour with former employee
Due to an anticipated high demand and to ensure attendees get the most from the visit, numbers are restricted. If you are unable to book a place, please let me know if you would like to be added to the waiting list.
Join me on a trip down memory lane as I wander around one of the world's most famous botanic gardens. See the Autumn Colour around the Gardens and see the garden start to bed down for winter. Revisiting the places I trained in for three years 20 years ago, we will see a range of garden features includng one of the worlds largest rock gardens, modern & Victorian glasshouses with some of rarest plants on earth. This 260+ year old, 300 acre garden also has lots of iconic buildings and history attached to it. The botanical paintings of Marriane North are a must for art lovers. The Treetop Walkway gives a birds eye view of the arboreteum. We will pass several other features also, too numerous to mention. For more details about the Garden, visit: https://www.kew.org/kew-gardens.
Admission from £17 (£16 for 65+) if you book on line at least 48 hours in adavance. Please do not book online until you have secured a place on here. If you like visiting Kew and other UK Botanic Gardens, and are likely to make more than two visits per year, you may wish to consider joining the Friends of Oxford Botanic Gardens, which gives you some reduced price & 2 for 1 offers to many of the top UK Botanic Gardens from £38 per year.
