National Lockdowns
Due to national lockdowns in all UK nations, all GOC events are currently cancelled.
We look forward to being able to restart activities once local and national restrictions permit.
General information
A flat walk through the farming country on the North Yorkshire border just south of Darlington in the area around Croft Motor Racing Circuit. The walking terrain consists of fields, roads, lanes and woods.
From Dalton-on-Tees the route follows the route of the River Tees through several fields to intersect a minor road. A length of road-walking follows, after which the route returns to the fields following the route of a railway line. The walk then passes by Croft Motor Racing Circuit, followed by a long walk along dirt tracks. A walk through a nice little wood delivers the walker to Croft-on-Tees. The final section of the route starts with pavement-walking, followed by a short trip through a wood before the walk returns to Dalton.
If conditions are bad we can cut walk short at about 4.5 miles.
Terrain / Difficulty
Easy walk although may be muddy in places
