Take a step back in time and immerse yourself in a very Victorian Christmas in this fine mansion and grounds. We visited last year and it was great.  The House will be decorated – several trees, swags and garlands, and there will be actors reprising their roles as characters from years gone by. To accompany the actors,  some volunteers will also be dressing up in period costume.

Weather permitting, there are fine gardens and parkland to explore too, with festive displays around the site.  The lack of plants and foliage enables visitors to see the bare bones of a garden, appreciating it’s overall layout and hard landscaping.
