Led by Howard. A circular walk following the River Went, which forms the boundary between West and South Yorkshire, eastwards through a limestone gorge taking in the village of Kirk Smeaton and the Brockadale nature reserve. Hopefully we will see some of the spring flowers the area is noted for. We will also walk under the recently repaired Grade II listed viaduct carrying the A1 over the River Went.
Ascent / Descent approx. 330ft / 100m
Equipment: walking boots, waterproof jacket and trousers, sun protection. Trekking pole(s) recommended if normally used.
