GOC members have been invited to join this sponsored walk to support the St Peter & St James Hospice in Sussex. It is not a GOC-run event but may be of interest to any members particularly in Southeast England. Entrance fee is £18 (subject to a group discount: if anyone wants to coordinate this please let me know) and you are asked to raise at least £100 in donations and sponsorship:

“Hi there,

On 23rd June St Peter & St James Hospice will be hosting our first ever Midsummer Stroll and would love to invite your members to take part. Starting and ending in the Grade II* listed English Heritage parkland of Borde Hill, participants are given the choice of a 2,7 or 10 mile route through the stunning Sussex Countryside.

It’s a fantastic opportunity for members of the local community to meet, socialise and walk together whilst raising money for local people living with life limiting illness. Walkers can also add a pinwheel to our field of remembrance to honour someone special and make memories with loved ones at our post walk picnic in the park.
