Our Groups are up and running with their activities. From the 1st of May we will no longer require advanced booking for most events. Events may still require advanced booking if it is necessary to place a limit on the number of attendees based on the event's risk assessment, or other factors.
General information
Ben A'an
Its not very high at only 454 meters but Ben A'an is a mountain in miniature that towers above you as you walk trough the woods from Loch Achray. The small rocky summit is an airy spot with stunning views of Loch Katrine and Ben Venue opposite. This walk is classed as a mountain walk; although it is quite short, the paths are steep and rocky. The walk is suitable for walkers with a reasonable amount of fitness but who may never have been up a mountain before.
We will climb the mountain from Loch Achray, about a 5 mile circuit (9km) - 4-5 hours.
Terrain / Difficulty
A fairly easy mountain walk. Good ascent path, some steep sections. The descent route is less clear, is steep and might be muddy and slippery.
