A circular walk from Barnard Castle.
We will start on the north side of the River Tees following the Teesdale Way. We will drop down to the river and cross by a footbridge near where the River Balder joins the River Tees. We continue up into the village of Cotherstone famous for its cheese and the final home of Hannah Hauxwell.
We return to Barnard Castle on the south side of the river walking through woodland and grass pastures crossing the disused Stainmore railway line.
