PLEASE NOTE ANYONE ATTENDING THIS WALK MUST SIGN UP AS AN ATTENDEE BELOW.

NO-ONE IS ABLE TO COME ON THE DAY, UNLESS THEY HAVE ALREADY SIGNED UP.

This walk is approx. 7 miles and most of it is easy walking although there are 2 stiles.

A lot of it is on old tramways with hard surfaces underfoot of tarmac, cement and stone, with a bit of walking on minor roads.

We start off by walking through the woodland and past hissing Sid the snake, and then towards the village of Tumble, walking through the village and then start the very beautiful tramway paths that take us over towards Pontyberem.

There were lots of coal mines in this area and we walk through a few old tips, before walking beside the Gwendraeth Fawr River and through an old (now closed) school over to Drefach.

For rugby fans people like Carwen James, Jonathan Davies and Barry John attended this school as they lived nearby.

We then make our way past Colditz!! and into the back entrance of Mynydd Mawr woodland, where we walk on a lovely riverside path, which is on a bit of an incline, and that does have a few small wet and muddy patches.

We emerge out of the wood and make our way back to the start.
