Clougha Pike

Event Details

Clougha Pike

Clough Pike is the westernmost top of the Bowland Fells and is an outlying top of Ward's Stone - the highest hill in the range. The hill has a gritstone edge and has fine views of Morecambe Bay and the Lakeland Fells beyond.

This is a short hill walk on the Monday morning of the AOG for those who would like a short leg stretch before leaving for home. Its a steady climb to the fine viewpoint of Clougha Pike (413m) earthy paths which are rocky in places.  We descend by footpaths by Rowton Brook to Quernmoor and follow the lane back to the car park.

Note that dogs are not allowed on this walk because it goes on privately owned grouse moors where dogs are specifically prohibited by the owner.

Numbers on this walk are limited to 20.
