Nicky Nook
Nicky Nook
Nick Nook is a small hill that rises above the village of Scorton near Garstang. Despite its modest height it offers splendid views over Lancashire’s coastal plain, Morecambe Bay and beyond to the Lakeland fells. On a really clear day it is possible to see the Isle of Man and the Great Orme on the North Wales coast. It is a good pull of 145m from Scorton to the top of Nicky Nook Fell, although much of the walk is on good paths, tracks and pretty country lanes. Grizedale, with its reservoir is particularly beautiful. We start and finish the walk at Scorton, which is a picturesque village with two fine churches and a café. The Applestore cafe just outside Scorton is particularly recommended for is position in parkland. About 7 miles.
Numbers on this walk are limited to 20.
