Sussex Garden Visit: Borde Hill near Haywards Heath
Join GOC Sussex Group for a relaxed spring visit to Borde Hill Gardens near Haywards Heath. The gardens are laid in a series of rooms that are particularly at their best at this time of year with spectacular rhododendrons and azaleas and a fine selection of trees. There is more information on their own website HERE.
We will meet up mid morning to explore the gardens and then have lunch in the cafe. Anyone wanting to stay longer can do so to explore further including the woodland walks. This will be an informal visit on normal public commercial terms. We can decide on the day exactly where we go and what we do. Buy your own ticket(s) either in advance via the garden's website or on the day. All purchases are card only including in the cafe and shop. Adult garden entry is £12.50 (without gift aid or concessions, and sadly there are no reductions for NT or RHS membership). Dogs are welcome if on leads throughout the visit. Full entry details are HERE.
For half price entry to this and many other gardens the May edition of the BBC Gardeners' World magazine is worth buying for the free 2 for 1 card. It's valid until 2 April 2026 in over 380 gardens across the UK. Note: one GOC member has a spare place on his 2For1 card - see details in the members only "Meeting Point" section below.
New members are always welcome - there is a free no commitment four month trial option. See https://www.goc.org.uk/shop/membership/. Any enquiries contact [email protected].
Full details are available to members only
