The Way of the Roses Cycling Weekend

Event Details

Join us for a three-day coast to coast cycling epic from Morecambe to Bridlington as we join forces with GoBike (Strathclyde Cycle Campaign Group) to ride the entire 274km (170 miles) of the Way of the Roses designated cycle route. Following mostly minor roads or well-surfaced cycle paths, the route offers a contrasting mix of terrain - mostly hilly or undulating for the first half and flat or gentle for the second half.

Saturday’s route will take us up the Lune Valley and into the Yorkshire Dales, ending up at Malham YH (approx. 42 miles).

Sunday will be the biggest day of the three starting with some steep climbs taking us through upper Wharfdale and Nidderdale before levelling out as we continue through Ripon and Boroughbridge ending up at York YH (approx. 70 miles).

Monday's route will be mostly flat taking us across the Yorkshire Wolds ending up in the east coast seaside town of Bridlington (approx. 60 miles).
