We will walk this leg backwards--not literally of course!!--to take advantage of the lovely community cafe at Myddfai which will be approx. 2 miles before the end of todays walk.

The walk will be an 8-9 mile moderate walk.

The first 2 miles or so out of Llangadog is all on country lanes before the trail rises through rich Carmarthenshire farmland and before reaching the ancient settlement of Myddfai, home to a long line of physicians through the centuries and it's scrummy cafe, see above.

We will pass near the Welsh home of King Charles.

At the end of the walk we will deviate from the trail onto a walking path that comes out near Penrock cottage, which is on a minor road, just off A4069, south of Llandovery. We will have left a car there.
